Setup @wtechlink.us
There are two methods to connect an email client to a wtechlink.us email account. IMAP and POP3. We recommend POP3 if you only wish to download your email onto one computer and IMAP if you would like to download your email onto multiple computers.
Wtechlink.us POP3 Email Setup:
In short:
- Incoming POP3 Server:pop .gmail.com
- Incoming server requires authentication
- Incoming server requires SSL/TTL
- Outgoing SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
- Outgoing server requires authentication
- Outgoing server requires SSL/TTL
- Outgoing server port: 465
- Username: full email address. i.e. name@wtechlink.us
Step by step instructions for Windows Live Mail:
- Open Windows Live Mail, Click on “Add e-mail account” if the wizard is not already open
- Enter your email address, password and display name then click Next
- Enter “pop.gmail.com” as the incoming server
- Check the box that says “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
- Enter your full email address as the login ID (You may need to add @wtechlink.us)
- Enter “smtp.gmail.com” as the outgoing server.
- Check the boxes that say “My outgoing server requires authentication” and “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)”
- Change the outgoing server port to 465
- Click “Next” then “Finish”.
